So I go in, start the vehicle normally, starts fine and appears to run fine. Then I notice the Check Engine Light is on. Ive never had an issue with any codes or my remote start working and I have never gone over 1 click. If its taking more than 1 click to be "tight", or at least tight enough so the jeep doesnt throw a code for the gas cap, I would press the dealer for a new gas cap. However, you do still have to remember to press the unlock on the fob before you try to put the key in the ignition. If you don't, even though the doors are off, it will cut the engine off as soon as you turn the key. If both key react that way, it is most likely the module (separate from the remote lock/unlock module) which I believe is mounted to the steering column under the dash.
