But for me, whenever I've switched from active to passive pickups, I usually just leave the pickups soldered to the pots and then just pull the pickups and pots out at the same time, leaving them all wired up to make it easier to re-install them, should I ever decide to, or install them into a different guitar. I have also seen how some vintage pickups put a metal plate under the bridge pickup in order to increase its output. Can I put those plates under the neck and middle pickups and get more output? I already have a great set of pickups that I love in my Strat.
